Make sure you have your arrest record purged, at least.
They should have never put her in cuffs. It could have been cleared up without an arrest. Lots of cops out there are lazy and just like to arrest people with tattoos. Honestly, someone should not be a patrol officer if they can’t respect basic civil rights after having it drilled into their heads at the Academy.
It makes me sad that I’m just waiting for the day that I get stopped and/or arrested for doing something bike-related in NYC. I don’t even know what it’s going to be, I just know that it’s going to happen.
